Penang Energy Framework
Background
The Penang Energy Framework (PEF) is a state-level initiative aimed at accelerating the adoption of Renewable Energy (RE) and Energy Efficiency (EE) across Penang. The Framework outlines clear Targets and Action Plans to increase the deployment of RE and EE measures in Penang by 2030, serving as a strategic roadmap to support the state’s transition towards a low-carbon and energy-resilient future.
Developed through extensive input from experts and professional bodies under the PEF Committee, the Framework is aligned with existing Federal Government policies, strategies, and national energy targets, ensuring coherence between state and national energy agendas.
