Penang Green Event Incentive
Penang Green Incentives Programme aims to recognise and reward environmental- friendly initiatives conducted by private sectors, government agencies, NGO and community-based organisations that have taken extra steps to reduce their environmental footprint, subsequently achieving sustainability.
Objectives
- To encourage individuals or organisations to reduce negative impact on the environment from daily activities/operations.
- To educate and support the public about the importance of environmental protection.
Criteria
Applicants can be recognised and rewarded if they fulfil a set of criteria (guidelines), consisting of optional and required questions. The assessment criteria are as follows:
- General administrative
- Waste management
- Energy saving
- Water conservation
Aspects covered in the assessment question:
- Thirty (30) Compulsory questions
- Seven (7) Bonus questions – Consist of higher difficulty questions
- Passing Marks: Score 60% of the assessment to qualify for audit
Incentive
Only three (3) successful applicants will be receiving RM 1,500. Incentives will be rewarded based on their qualification upon PGC’s evaluation.
Timeline
- Application period: 17th February – 1st September 2025
- Audit period: 1st March – 15th September 2025
- Applicable for events conducted from 1st March until 15th September 2025
- Audit application must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the event date
